Quip
A while ago Patrik Bless and I were looking for a good framework on top of which to build a web application. We ended up selecting Mason for its flexibility and the fact that it's not PHP based. (Ever tried to write a large-scale application without proper namespace support? ;-) The application we were writing turned out to be modular enough, so that we decided to reuse the engine and turn it into a content management system.
A little frustrated with the limitations of most available solutions we decided to build our own modules; not as generic and versatile as many existing solutions, but exactly what we needed, nothing more, nothing less.
Today we have a few websites running on Quip and even though it's still work in progress, it's powerful, yet easy to work with.
