  The continuation of our trip to the Aareschlucht and Reichenfachfälle led us via Grimselpass and Wallis (Valais) back to Lausanne with a short detour half-way up the Furkapass to visit the Rhonegletscher (Rhône glacier).

  As a kind of test run for our upcoming more serious hiking trip we climbed 七星山 (Qīxīng mountain) in 陽明山國家公園 (Yángmíngshān National Park). The main peak is 1120 m above sea level.

  My second visit to 宜蘭 (Yílán) led me to the beach on this beautiful sunny weekend. We went to 蜜月灣 (Honeymoon Bay) and the 貢寮海洋音樂祭 (Hohaiyan Gungliau Rock Festival).

  My first real weekend in 台北 (Taipei) where we went to Taipei 101, currently the world's largest skyscraper, and 淡水 (Dàn Shuǐ). Dàn Shuǐ is a somewhat touristy place in the North West of Taipei but despite the masses of people it's very beautiful and the food on the nightmarket is amazing as always in Taiwan.

  Taking advantage of the beautiful weather I decided to go see what a Taiwanese beach looks like. There's a nice coastline complete with sand beach and a 17 km long bike trail less than an hour away from where I live. I was not disappointed. :-)

  After the recent drive along parts of Skyline Boulevard and last weekend's trip to Half Moon Bay this is another part of the Coast Line & Skyline Boulevard puzzle that I'm trying to complete. This time Loïc came along and we started at Pescadero Beach, went down to Santa Cruz and came back up on Highway 9 and Skyline Boulevard. Against all odds (or at least against all weather forecasts) it was a sunny day and we enjoyed the beautiful scenery of California's Pacific coast.

  What better on a February weekend than going to the beach? Heading up North West to the famous Half Moon Bay and driving down the coast line on Highway 1 I enjoyed a cross between a hike and a road trip on this warm and sunny Sunday.

  My first bike tour in 2007 led me to the Stanford Dish area (where you're not allowed to ride) and Ladera, a small community on one of the hills around Palo Alto.

  The Logitech internship finale at Cattlemens in Newark. We celebrated the increase of productiveness of the Logitech video group now that there are three interns less to be taken care of. :-)

  Taking mini-golf to the next level, we headed to Sunol for a few hours of strenuous paintball. Here's what it looks like when people from Logitech, Google, etc. exchange computers for guns and data for paint.

  Visit to the Sequoia & Kings Canyon National Park with my parents (day 2). Kings Canyon can't quite keep up with Sequoia when it comes to trees but it makes up for it with spectacular mountains and a few--we Swiss would probably append our famous "-li" diminutive--waterfalls.
